5 Night Yoga Retreat to Alicante, Spain

I'm so excited to announce, after a hiatus of 8 years since I held a yoga retreat abroad, I've finally found THE place...

I’ve been searching for my ‘goldilocks’ place to host a yoga retreat in Spain…and I’ve finally found it. In the heart of the Sierra de Mariola Natural Park, above Alicante (in the Valencia region), our venue is the home of British ex-pats Andrea and Ben who have lovingly renovated their finca from scratch (it was a complete shell when they bought it). Surrounded by nature, there are 6 ensuite rooms available (UPDATE: only 1 twin remaining). 

Think yoga by the (heated) pool, or indoors in the beautiful barn if the weather is rubbish, walks (or hikes?) from the door, evening saunas with stunning sunset mountain views. The whole property has underfloor heating and there are ceiling fans if it’s too hot (although being 900m above sea level, it’s never too uncomfortable!) I usually do an active session in the morning and a more chilled yin / yoga nidra session in the late afternoons…all yoga is optional!

Andrea will prepare all of our food which will be vegetarian and, as much as possible, produce is grown on site...fresh eggs from their chickens for example. We can also continue our tradition of afternoon tea and cake, because as Andrea told me…we are British after all! The hydration station for teas, coffee and water is always available and there’s an honesty bar for other drinks and alcohol as, let’s be honest, I was never going to host a ‘dry’ retreat!

I basically had to be interviewed by Andrea as it’s their home, and, as is their right, they only want groups to visit that they like…suffice to say, I passed the 'good vibe' test! I think this place is a great fit for me (and you) and will be an amazing experience - comfortable and authentic but not too 'rustic'.

Shall we do this? The price is £945 and the dates are Monday 13th to Saturday 18th September 2027 (5 nights) and your food and accommodation (as well as yoga with me!) is included.

We have use of the venue for the whole of our arrival and departure days which gives us maximum flexibility. If you arrive early in the day on the Monday or have a late flight home, you’re welcome to be at the venue but extra meals (outside of your 5 days worth) will be for your own account. For example, if your flight home is late in the evening on Saturday and you’d like dinner at the venue before you depart, this can be arranged with the venue for extra cost.   

What's not included is your flights (Alicante is easily accessible from most UK airports…including Newcastle), transfers (the venue can help with these once we know who is arriving when), travel insurance and any optional excursions (bike hire, local vineyard and / or village trip). 

Deposit amount (non-refundable) to secure your place: £195 then 3 x further instalments of £250. 

What to Expect:

• Daily yoga sessions by the pool (or in the barn if the weather isn't favourable!) - energising morning flows, gentle late afternoon yin and guided meditation sessions.

• Delicious, nourishing vegetarian meals. Coffee and water included - honesty bar for all other drinks.

• Free time for walks, reading, visiting local villages and vineyards, mountain bike riding or simply being.

• Beautiful ensuite accommodation in a peaceful fully renovated finca with heated swimming pool and sauna.

Whether you’re a first-time retreater or a seasoned retreat yogi, you’ll receive a warm welcome and will be in good hands. This retreat offers space to slow down, rest and reconnect with what truly matters. There’ll be plenty of yoga (of course!), laughs and chats with others and quiet time to yourself if that’s what you need — whatever feels right for you. Come solo, or bring a friend or family member — everyone is welcome.
